About
Eunchong Kang is a lyric soprano from Seoul, South Korea. She recently graduated from Louisiana State University with her doctoral degree under the guidance of Dr. Lori Bade, publishing her dissertation “Femme Fatale in Lieder: Songs of Lorelei by Clara Schumann, Franz Liszt, and Alexander Zemlinsky.” During her studies at LSU, she appeared as Blanche (Dialogues des Carmélites), Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare), and Fiordiligi (Così fan Tutte).
She was a finalist of the National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Awards (Southern Region Representative) and received an encouragement award at The Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in Pittsburgh District. Additionally, she was a semi-finalist for both the Serge and Olga Koussevitzky Young Artist Award and the Giulio Gari Vocal Competition.
